“It Gets Worse Before It Gets Better”

Artist rendering of Island City Stage with new paint, lighting, and mural.

The theatre facility was re-roofed (not part of our project) and we had luckily removed the entire lighting system or else it was have taken on all this debris. This was a blessing in disguise as we had pulled the lights just one day before they said they would be starting! No more leaks on row F!!

We finally have the front of the building cleared of past businesses “choices” and lighting. The base painting is moving along nicely.

Paint crew painting the rear garage door for the first time in many years. What an improvement!

The old stage flooring has been removed and it now being resized to make the front row more “walkable” for guests and sturdier for ICS sets and actors.

Chaos in every room! We received this new lighting to add to our light plot but temporarily it’s stored in the Lobby. Yes, it’s a mess, but better days and coming!

It may seem bland at the moment, but when Topp Artist gets finished with the mural, Island City Stage will look amazing and will probably be noticed by someone passing by.
